Because of its popularity, the guitar is one of the simpler instruments to learn to play. Firstly, many learning resources exist and are readily available. Answering this question will allow you to reflect on the level of commitment you want to give to this new journey and will help you decide what path is best to take in order to play the guitar.

Borrowing one is a good way to experiment, but it’s best to get your own so that you can practice whenever – and for however long – you like. This will also make it easier to learn, as you’ll always be using the same guitar. You also need to honestly assess your commitment level. How much time do you have to practice on a daily basis? Are there other interests that will take priority?
